Caught in the act

Jn 8:1-11

Caught in the nakedness
of my sin
my lover forced to withdraw
I separated for the slaughter
Dragged and humiliated
Exposed in the sacred space
Ringed by accusers
I stand before my judge
who bends down,
draws
and ignores me.

They press for my death
but there is no one worthy
but the one who draws
and ignores.

Now they are gone
he does not ignore me
nor condemn
but invites to life.
